What are gifts for?

Gifts are an easy way to make someone�s day or send holiday wishes. Go ahead and spread some happiness by pressing the gift icon under the user's profile photo.

By checking the �My name and message can only be seen by the recipient� box before sending a gift, you can make it so that only the recipient will be able to see your name and the message you choose to write along with it.

You can choose who can see your gifts by adjusting your privacy settings: vk.com/settings?act=privacy → Who can view my gifts.

Additionally, you can completely hide the gifts that you�ve received from others by going to Settings (vk.com/settings) and checking the Hide gifts section box in Profile settings. You can always go to the Privacy section to bring them back.
