Deutsch: Hissflagge der Gemeinde Wethau, Burgenlandkreis, Sachsen-Anhalt

Der Gemeinderat der Gemeinde Wethau hat die Annahme der nachstehend beschriebenen Flagge beschlossen, die die Kommunalaufsicht des Burgenlandkreises am 6. Juni 2013 genehmigte.

„Die Flagge der Gemeinde Wethau ist blau - weiß - blau gestreift. (Querform: Streifen 1:4:1 waagerecht verlaufend, Längsform: Streifen 1:3:1 senkrecht verlaufend) und mittig mit dem Gemeindewappen belegt.“[1]

Die Blasonierung dieses gleichzeitig angenommenen und genehmigten, von Jörg Mantzsch gestalteten, Gemeindewappens lautet:

„Geviert von Blau und Silber;
1. balkenweise zwei silberne Fische, der obere linksgewendet;
2. sechs rote Ziegel (2:2:2), die mittleren zum Schildrand versetzt;
3. eine rote Weintraube mit zwei Blättern, Stiel und Ranke;
4. ein silberner Dreiberg, darüber ein sechsstrahliger silberner Stern.“
