Description
English: A German QF 1 pounder pom-pom located at the South African national Museum of Military History in Johannesburg.

Engraved with Nr: 542, Gew:194,8kg

According to museum records Nr:542 and Nr:543 was surrendered to South African forces under command of Gen Louis Botha on 19 July 1915 at Khorab in South West Africa.

Nr 542 no longer has manufacturers markings, but Nr 543 (also housed at the same museum) has a metal tag that reads:
