Hi! We're using storyline 360. We have some great courses but occasionally need to customize for a client changing just things like logo, a little text on an intro slide and sometimes skipping over a slide that is not pertinent to their company. We do NOT want to have to edit the .story file every time for this. Does anyone know how to do this with a post publish script - possibly json? I've heard it's totally doable, but not sure how to do it. Anyone want to share code and solutions? pretty please :) Thanks!108Views0likes6CommentsPart 2: Building Rise Code Blocks
➡️ View the post and tutorial 👋Hi everyone! Part 2 of the series is up — and this one is about how the code blocks in the Rise Code Block Library get built, and how you can do the same. I've developed a workflow system — the Rise Build System — that uses Claude to take you from idea to finished, tested, Rise-compatible code block without needing to know JavaScript or HTML. The tutorial walks through a real build: a row sorting interaction that came directly from the suggestion box in the code library. The full Rise Build System — master prompt, intake prompt, revision prompt and setup instructions is free for all, but I'm asking for your email in exchange so I can keep you updated on new tutorials. You can subscribe over in the post and if you already have, you'll receive an email with the build system. 👉 Start with Part 1 if you haven't already 👉 Browse the Rise Code Block Library 👉 Enjoy Part 2 I’m posting two tutorials that will further demonstrate examples of working with the Rise Build System, including revising existing code snippets and organizing your code blocks. So, watch for them in the coming days. The final part of this series will drop in a couple of weeks and shifts focus from Rise to Storyline. We’ll look at the new AI JavaScript coding feature, similar to Rise Code Blocks, but different in many ways. Have fun with this series and let me know if you have any questions. Hi Community, I've recently been experimenting with the new custom block feature in Rise 360 to create more customized layouts. At times, I like to create text and image-oriented layouts to depict scenarios that are in alignment with my 17pt body text throughout my course. However, whenever I send my course modules for review, my subject matter experts express concern with the text sizes designed in the custom blocks. I am aware Rise 360 review is not 1:1 to its original editing view and the scaling also becomes more apparent when the contents are viewed on a mobile device and or tablet. Does anyone have any tips so I can maintain text sizes between custom blocks and rise block styles? I truly enjoy the new custom block feature, and I really want it to work for my course designs, but accessibility is a big priority. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Yedno Attached are screenshots for reference.86Views0likes3CommentsAI‑powered, real‑time role‑play platforms
Hello Heroes! Has anyone cracked this yet? I’m exploring AI‑powered, real‑time role‑play platforms that can be embedded directly into an Articulate Rise Multimedia Embed block and run within the Rise frame—without sending learners outside the course or requiring a separate login. I’ve tested a few options, including Yoodli, but that experience redirects learners out of Rise. Other platforms I’ve reviewed are either cost‑prohibitive or not transparent with pricing. Has anyone successfully integrated a truly seamless, experiential role‑play experience into Rise? I’d love to hear what you’ve tried, what’s come close, or where you hit barriers. Thank you!369Views1like13CommentsRise Continue Buttons Disappearing
Hi everyone, Our team is running into an issue with Rise courses in our LMS (Moodle). When a learner clicks the browser’s back button, the Continue buttons inside the Rise course disappear. The only workaround we’ve found so far is to delete the learner’s attempt, which forces them to restart the course from the beginning. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, have you found a solution or workaround that doesn’t require resetting their progress? Thanks in advance!152Views0likes5CommentsWhat do you use for storyline file Version control tools? Git?
Hey everyone, In our organization, we often have more than one person needing to edit a storyline file. It's becoming a version control nightmare. I thought git might work as a version control system forcing user to check out/in files when they are going to work on them. My boss thinks git would not be right for this purpose. We are currently just using the honor system and trying to force everyone to append the current date in their file names (e.g. myfile_04022026.story), but not everyone does and it's a huge problem. We really need a tool for this instead. How do you all manage this? What tools have you found that work well? What tools have been a disaster for this? All advice welcome! I’ve been working with Storyline for some time, but this time I’ve encountered an issue where I’m unable to identify any clear cause or logic behind what’s happening. I currently have four modules published from Storyline, both for SCORM and Review. During the review process, one of my colleagues commented that a particular slide did not have audio. However, when I checked, the audio was present on the slide timeline and played correctly on my end in both Review and Preview. Another co-worker of mine also confirmed that the audio worked for her. 🙃 I then published the module to SCORM and uploaded it to Moodle. While conducting final testing, I noticed that a few slides are experiencing the same issue. The audio does not play when the slide starts. To make the audio work, I either need to: go back to the previous slide and return to the slide, or let the slide timeline finish (in restricted mode), then drag the timeline back to the beginning, at which point the audio starts playing. I would prefer not to create a trigger on every slide to play the audio, as the audio should automatically play when the slide timeline starts. Additionally, most of the slides are working correctly, and only a few slides are affected, which makes it difficult to determine the cause. if anyone has encountered similar issues and have some suggestions or tips on how to fix this. I would greatly appreciate the help!!!982Views0likes31CommentsCan I use GA with an Articulate Rise course that has been turned into a SCORM assignment?
Hello. I have a course that will available both publicly and as a SCORM assignment in Blackboard. I was able to connect the web-hosted, publicly available version with my Google Analytics. Is the same thing possible with the same course, but now hosted as a SCORM assignment in Blackboard (Our institution's LMS)? Essentially, this assignment will be part of a downloadable package that educators can use to upload and incorporate into their courses. I would like to use GA to track every time a student accesses the course through their assignment. Thanks!Solved90Views0likes7CommentsWhite lines between block
Hi, I'm experiencing an issue similar to the issue that was reported here: White lines between blocks in Edge | E-Learning Heroes Apparently, a solution was found, but it does not say what. I'm experiencing the same problem, a faint white line, even though the padding is set to zero. Although for me, it's also happening in Google Chrome and Edge. The line disappears when the browser window is resized to its maximum size, but reappears when it's shrunk, and ruins the continuity of the design, If the solution could be shared that would be most helpful!
