You can explore GitHub to find interesting repositories, topics, code, people, and organizations that can inspire your own work, or support your own learning.\n\nOnce you've found something that interests you, you can:\n\n* **Star** the repository or topic, so you can easily find it again later.\n* **Follow** people or organizations, so you can stay updated on their activities.\n* **Download** useful repositories or code, and customize it for your own use.\n* **Contribute** to another user's project, by opening a pull request.\n\nOnce you star repositories or follow people, you will see updates on their activities on your [personal dashboard](https://github.com/dashboard).\n\n## Visit Explore GitHub\n\n1. Navigate to [Explore GitHub](https://github.com/explore).\n2. Browse popular repositories and topics.\n3. For example, try \"green software tools.\" For more detailed information about searching for specific topics, repositories, or code, see [About searching on GitHub](/en/search-github/getting-started-with-searching-on-github/about-searching-on-github).\n3. Use the left sidebar to filter the results. For example, to browse all repositories in the \"green-software\" topic, search \"green-software\", then filter by \"Topic\".\n4. Star the repositories that match your interests, such as [GitHub's Green Software Directory](https://github.com/github/GreenSoftwareDirectory).\n\n## Following people and organizations on GitHub\n\nFollowing people and organizations is another good way to stay updated on projects and topics that interest you.\n\n### Following people\n\n1. Navigate to the user's profile page.\n2. Under the user's profile picture, click **Follow**.\n3. Optionally, to unfollow a user, click **Unfollow**.\n\n### Following organizations\n\n1.
