It emits metadata as part of the parent template's hCalendar microformat. <nowiki>{{Start date}}</nowiki> can only be used once per table row (specifically HTML table row - it's OK if there is a second (or more) row such as cases of a multipart episode where {{para\|NumParts}} is used).
