Venkata Narasimha Kumar born on 10 October 1973), professionally known as Vamsi Krishna Akella , is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works in [[Telugu cinema]].
He is best know for his works in high fantasy and [[Period film|period films]] such as [[Raksha (2008 film)|Raksha]](2008) and [[Jakkanna]](2016).

== Early Life ==
Vamsi Krishna Akella was born in 1973 in a small village near to Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Later Vamsi Krishna moved to Hyderabad after his graduation. He worked as a software engineer. Later He recognized his passions towards to films and started working as assistant director for many films, He started his carrier with Raksha Movie with help his inspiring director Ram Gopal Varma.
== Career ==
Vamsi Krishna Started his carrier as writing assistant for [[Devadasu (2006 film)|Devadasu]] and worked as Assistant director for [[Ashok (film)|Ashok]] movie. Later Pedha Vamsi famous director identified his skills and gave chance for [[Anumanaspadam]] as a writer the movie gave Vamsi Krishna nice response. Later he entered into direction filed and directed [[Raksha (2008 film)|Raksha]] starring [[Jagapathi Babu|Jagapathi babu]] in lead role produced by [[Ram Gopal Varma]] and declared as super hit. Later he got chance to work with Sunil and written and directed a movie [[Jakkanna]].His next project is Rakshaka bhatudu starring Prabhakar and Richa Panai in prominent roles and released it in YouTube. Now He directed a movie The Trip this Story is about the unpredictable journey of Goutham, who takes on to experience the best weed in the world not knowing that his life is going to end soon due to drug addiction this is also going to be released on OTT platform. He had good expirence as a script writer for many movies which helped him to improve his skills and he worked for many famous movies like RRR directed by [[S. S. Rajamouli|Raja Mouli]].
== Personal Life ==
Vamsi Krishna akella father's name is Akella Kesava Rao and mother's name is Akella Venkata Subhalakshmi.He has two brothers Akella Joga Srinivas and Akella Raja Kiran. Later he got married with Akella Kanka Mahalakshmi who lives in Vishakhapatnam. They have two children's Elder son Akella Abhilash who is studying B.CI Degree and Younger Son A L K Adharvan he is studying six standaard he is also interested in film industry he is acting as a child artist he only played all child roles in Vamsi Krishna(Father) movies. Vamsi Krishna is interested in movies from the childhood onwards he always watched movies of ram Gopal Varma and Mani Ratnam took them as inspiration.
