Nine News (radio)
Appearance
Macquarie National News is the name of the news service provided by Macquarie Radio Network, providing half-hourly radio news bulletins to radio stations across Australia. It is distributed to stations by Fairfax Radio Syndication.
History
On September 16, 2009 the company shut down its news website, livenews.com.au after two years of existence citing poor financial returns.[1]
In April 2015, following the merger of Macquarie Radio Network and Fairfax Radio Network,[2] the newsroom of 2UE Sydney was closed and replaced with Macquarie National News.[3] Bulletins on 3AW, 4BC and 6PR now take reports from Macquarie National News.
