This article was the subject of a Wiki Education Foundation-supported course assignment, between 27 September 2018 and 22 December 2018. Further details are available on the course page. Student editor(s): Jamesforestreid (article contribs). I have removed the lyrics. Ira Gershwin (the lyricist) died in 1983, and his work is still under copyright. --Alexs letterbox 22:31, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

DuBose Heyward

Some sources also credit DuBose Heyward as co-writer on this song (and in fact Porgy and Bess as a whole). Anyone know if Heyward should be added? SageGreenRider (talk) 00:32, 31 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Another version

An arrangement of the tune is used as the theme of the TV show "Free Thought Matters", a production of the Freedom From Religion Foundation. Dan Barker, a co-host of the show takes full credit for the composition. ---Dagme (talk) 02:39, 27 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
