Circumneutral is a descriptor for soils which have a pH that is close to neutral. Circumneutral soils have a pH between 6.5 and 7.5.[1] Certain species prefer or only grow in circumneutral soils.[2] Whether and how quickly minerals dissolve in soil is also affected by pH and circumneutral soils have particular qualities in terms of their chemistry because of this.[3]
