Fernland, Alabama is an unincorporated community located along U.S. Route 90 in Mobile County, Alabama. It lies midway between the towns of Grand Bay, Alabama (to the west) and St. Elmo, Alabama (to the east). During the days of segregation, elementary students attended Grand Bay School for Colored, which was located in the community. Current high school students attend Alma Bryant High School.
