CORONA was an unmanned prototype of a reusable single-stage-to-orbit launch vehicle developed by Makeyev Rocket Design Bureau from 1992 to 2012.[citation needed] In January 2018 the company announced to resume CORONA development.[1]

Design

Evolution of CORONA concept

It is intended for the launch of space vehicles and the spacecraft in the low-Earth circular orbits of 200-500 km. The launch weight of about 300 tonnes.[citation needed]
