Rationalle: Not a useful categorization - technaicllay speaking, alll modern life is Holocene life, and most Holocene life isn't prehistoric - which these categories are intended to be part of the tree for. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 04:17, 30 October 2016 (UTC)
- Delete The vast majority of articles on organisms are about currently living organisms. I think it's reasonable to assume that currently living is the default state and doesn't require a category (we also don't need a category for Earthly life, assuming that life probably occurs somewhere else in the universe). If all currently living life forms are in the scope of these categories, they're woefully underpopulated, and not likely to be fully populated any time soon. If currently living species aren't intended to be included, then these are redundant with an already rather redudant and messy set of other categories intended to include species that have gone extinct in this time frame: e.g. Category:Late Quaternary prehistoric birds, Category:Holocene extinctions, Category:Extinctions since 1500 and Category:Extinct species (most of the articles under "Extinct species" are post 1500 extinctions).
