For sensitive matters, you may contact an individual bureaucrat directly by e-mail.
The Bureaucrats' noticeboard is a place where items related to the Bureaucrats can be discussed and coordinated. Any user is welcome to leave a message or join the discussion here. Please start a new section for each topic.
This is not a forum for grievances. It is a specific noticeboard addressing Bureaucrat-related issues. If you want to know more about an action by a particular bureaucrat, you should first raise the matter with them on their talk page. Please stay on topic, remain civil, and remember to assume good faith. Take extraneous comments or threads to relevant talk pages.
If you are here to report that an RFA or an RFB is "overdue" or "expired", please wait at least 12 hours from the scheduled end time before making a post here about it. There are a fair number of active bureaucrats; and an eye is being kept on the time remaining on these discussions. Thank you for your patience.

I would like to be able to edit extended-protected pages
- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section.
I am requesting permission to be able to edit "extended-protected" pages. I have been editing Wikipedia for a very long time, however I do not yet have 500 edits. I mainly do edits when I see mistakes, etc. in pages that I am reading, plus I work on references and fix link rot. Today, I wanted to edit the Ukraine page, but I discovered that I cannot. -- Ubh [talk... contribs...] 08:36, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
- You need to make the request at Wikipedia:Requests for permissions. Bureaucrats only handle the admin bit matters under very strict guidelines, not other permissions. Dennis Brown - 2¢ 09:07, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
- I have a question for you because I have no idea where to ask this... I was reviewing my own contributions to Wikipedia and I was trying to look at edits I have done that were deleted to see what edits those were and to understand why they were deleted. However, it said that I could not see that information because I didn't have permission.[1] I think it would be beneficial for editors to be able to see why their edits were deleted. Where could I ask for a change in that policy so that the edits that are deleted are viewable by the person who made the edits? I think people should be able to review most stuff related to their own accounts. -- Ubh [talk... contribs...] 11:06, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
- In the future, questions can be asked at WP:TEAHOUSE. The answer to this specific question is that mediawiki software feature requests should go on https://phabricator.wikimedia.org. It's a decent idea and probably worthy of a phabricator ticket. In fact a ticket may exist exist already. Try searching on phabricator for "Special:DeletedContributions should show non admins their own edits" or something similar. –Novem Linguae (talk) 11:11, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
- On second thought, such a ticket would probably be declined for anti-abuse reasons. It would eliminate the ability to decline a lot of WP:REFUNDs, for example. –Novem Linguae (talk) 11:22, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
