Ideally do two things:

  • ensure we create a branch that is a snapshot of current site
  • make it possible to still view the 2015 winners and teams on the web -- not sure how best to do this with only one page 😦

I think you're right with branching from the current state. Viewing the 2015 stuff might be a challenge though

@neanias @milk1337 How about the following plan?

  • Install a different, multipage, Jekyll theme for the site. I don't have a preference for which theme -- happy to consider any proposals.
  • Keep the static HTML output for the 2015 pages dealing with challenges, teams and winners, and stick it in a new subdir for 2015 legacy stuff
  • Migrate the rest of the markdown pages into the new theme
  • Munge CSS as appropriate until the whole thing looks reasonably coherent.

Would either of you have time to help out with this? It would be great if we could get a new site up in the next week or so.

Sorry it's taken so long to get round to but now exams are over I'll have a little time now and more so during January when I'll do the bulk of the work.

And the plan sounds good, it's what I ended up doing for the HTB site now but I built a quick landing page from scratch and didn't find a whole theme which I'll work on this.

A mulipage design? Any ideas on what kind of pages you would want included as well? Just wondering about the size of the content we would need

Just what we currently have on the site, but rendered as separate pages. I.e. all the things that currently appear in the top menu.

I think it's probably too late now to change the theme of the site.
