I'm thinking that the logo should somehow suggest topics such as "low-level code/binary", "security" and "compilers".
A very simple logo could be e.g. some binary code (literally some ones and zeros) on a padlock ("security/hardening"). That wouldn't have "compilers" in it.
It seems the default image referring to compilers has been a dragon somehow. Not sure if other images also make people think of a dragon?
