What happened?

A user has experienced a fatal error in Matomo after installing Bot tracker, and clicked the link in the error to get the message emailed to us.

Here is the error:
syntax error, unexpected 'string' (T_STRING), expecting function
(T_FUNCTION) or const (T_CONST) in
/var/www/matomo/plugins/BotTracker/Controller.php 23 using PHP
7.2.26-1+ubuntu16.04.1+deb.sury.org+1

Hi @enual, it looks like there might be a bug in the Bot Tracker plugin itself. It would be best to report the issue in the plugin's issue tracker at https://github.com/Digitalist-Open-Cloud/Matomo-Plugin-BotTracker as this is not a Matomo plugin.
