Logs aren't being created?

The server runs fine but logs aren't being created. Changing the permissions of the log directory doesn't seem to do anything.

Could be possible that the JVM isn't being launched (assuming logs dir and files are created after launch per server). I was seeing the same thing (no logs dir), but it was because of issue #390.
