Summary

If you zoom in the corner of an image in an imagery view, it flies away!

Expected vs Current Behavior

It shouldn't fly away. The area zoomed at should be centered in the view finder.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Navigate to an imagery view
  2. Zoom in the corner using mouse wheel or cmd + click
  3. 🛫

Environment

  • Open MCT Version: 2.2.0-SNAPSHOT
  • Deployment Type: testathon
  • OS: MacOS
  • Browser: chrome

Impact Check List

  • Data loss or misrepresented data?
  • Regression? Did this used to work or has it always been broken?
  • Is there a workaround available?
  • Does this impact a critical component?
  • Is this just a visual bug with no functional impact?
  • Does this block the execution of e2e tests?
  • Does this have an impact on Performance?

Reopening. This is a thing again. Scrolling slowly like this can make it jump away entirely, but periodically using the mouse wheel zoom on a corner will make the image jump even with normal use. Not sure what the solution is here, maybe a better technique to do a zoom?
