Does OCR support multiple languages simultaneously?

Hello,

I noticed that the tutorial says OCR supports both English and Chinese. Does it also support other languages like Japanese for example? Can it handle a multi-language situation, where let's say I have a pdf that has mixed use of Japanese and English (they could be mixed at word/sentence/paragraph level), does it work if I change lang to something like ja/en?
