Unable to sign up for Copilot as a verified student

I am a verified student as shown below.

When I tried to get access to Copilot in this page, an error appeared:

I had created a ticket in GitHub Support last week, looking for support in Copilot Community is suggested.

You just need to wait, it'll show up. I had the same issue and it showed after a couple of hours

@Cytrogen add github copilot extension in vs code, connect your github and try there. if the co-pilot assistant is there, you can use it.

I have encountered this issue since May 16th. I have tried to get access to GitHub Copilot everyday since then. Unfortunately every time I have tried, it always showed the alert bar.

I have also added the extension in both VSCode and Jetbrains IDEs. They will all displayed "You don't have access to GitHub Copilot. Sign up by visiting https://github.com/settings/copilot." and sometimes "Contact Support. You are currently logged in as Cytrogen."

没有。也不知道是怎么回事，community里面好多学生都报告了这个问题，到现在也没有谁能够获得Copilot的使用权限。

Go to Settings - Billing and plans - Plans and usage INSTEAD OF https://github.com/settings/copilot like the official doc claims.

I have tried the method you mentioned. When clicking "Enable GitHub Copilot" under the Add-Ons section, it will direct me to https://github.com/github-copilot/free_signup, and the same error appeared when trying to get access.
