Copilot chat, just hangs

Hello,

I have this particular PC with a fresh Windows 11 installation. I can't reason why Copilot chat just hangs after I ask for the suggestions. It gets stuck on "Generating".
It works if I restart Visual Studio Code. Maybe, the first query works, but then follow up queries just are either TOO slow or just hang.

I tried Ubuntu, it works nicely. I try another machine on the same network it is flawless and fast.

What could it be? Anyone else experiences hanging / lag?

Got the exact same thing from a couple of days now and could only find threads about similar issues 1 year or more ago.

Its the exact behavior I get and restarting only helps in first requests then its back. I also sometimes insist over and over with the same question until it passes. Sometimes it doesn't snd I give up.

I found that asking copilot to be super succinct and use code format to give his regular answers works because it's only one line no matter how long the answer is and the succinct requirement also helps.

I'm also experiencing this. I'm on a Windows Arm machine. Like others it is working fine if I restart VS Code, but then just gets stuck on 'generating' the second or third query.

Ditto. Was working fine on this machine until about a week ago (mac mini m2 pro running Sequoia 15.1.1) - now hanging most of the time or taking minutes to come back with an answer. In editor CoPilot is working fine.
