Combined projects across Github Enterprise and Github.com? #139547

I might expect to be able to do this with a full github.com URL based on the documentation here: However, when I do this with a known issue an external GitHub repository that I'd like to add to my GHES project, I just get a draft item with a title that's the URL. For example, if I paste the full URL to this issue from the In a private project on github.com, instead, I can start by typing I'd like to be able to do the same from my GHES project. |

This isn't out-of-date. It does not appear I can add an issue or pull request (private or public) from Github.com to my private Github Enterprise project. This really would be helpful to track public contributions to repositories that somehow interact with a proprietary workstream. |

It still does not appear I can add an issue or pull request (private or public) from Github.com to my private Github Enterprise project. Concretely, I have the following draft pull request that is relevant to my organization's work: gbartyzel/ros2_net_ft_driver#16 If I try to add that URL to my Github Enterprise project framework I get a draft issue with the URL: If I add that to a private github.com project instead, it shows up as a PR linked to the original: |

Github and Github Enterprise Server both support adding issues from different organizations to a given Github Project:

However, I haven't been able to figure out if it's possible to set up a project on Github Enterprise Server that combines issues from organizations inside the Enterprise with others from organizations hosted on GitHub.com. For example, there could be a project tracking work where some developers are working on the company's internal GHES repos and other developers are working on external open-source enhancements or bugfixes that the company needs.
Is this mixed GHES/GitHub.com integration in Projects supported as part of Github Connect?
