Currently, issue creation is a linear process. We want it to be interactive.
A lot of applications, including ours, have standard commands that check for configuration errors. Many support issues we receive are from users that didn’t bother to read the docs and never ran the command whose output could have helped them solve their problems easily.
Yes, we can ask them to do this in the issue templates, but then once they get the problem sorted out they abort the session and we don’t get to see the data on how many people successfully solved their problems this way.
What we would like to see on GitHub is an interactive dialogue that asks the user to run the debugging command and then either exit the session by reporting success, or paste the command’s output so it becomes part of their support issue/bug report.
