my vs code has been displaying codespace running in recovery mode, i've done full rebuild but yet not working. how do i fix it?

1. Check Your Codespace Logs

• Open the Logs Panel in VS Code by navigating to View > Output and selecting "Codespaces" from the dropdown.
• Look for any error messages that could give clues about what’s causing the issue.

2. Inspect Codespace Resources

Disk Usage:

- Run df -h or check the Storage tab in the Codespaces settings to see if your disk space is full.

- If it is, free up space by removing unnecessary files or use a larger machine size.

Memory:

- Check if your Codespace is running out of memory by inspecting resource usage. You can view this in the Codespaces Dashboard or by 
running htop in the terminal.

3. Full Rebuild Again

• Perform another full rebuild but ensure to clean out the previous build cache:

• Run Codespaces: Rebuild Container in the command palette (Ctrl+Shift+P).

• Alternatively, execute the following steps manually:

  Stop the Codespace.
  Delete the Codespace and recreate it.

4. Validate Your devcontainer.json

• Sometimes issues with the devcontainer.json file can cause Codespace failures.
• Ensure your devcontainer.json:
  • Has correct configurations (e.g., valid base image, extensions, and settings).
  • Includes the required dependencies.

5. Use a Different Machine Type

• Your current Codespace might be running on an underpowered machine.

• Change the machine type to a larger one via the Codespaces Dashboard:

  1. Navigate to the Codespaces tab in your repository or GitHub.
  2. Click on the Codespace and select "Change machine type."
  3. Choose a more powerful configuration.

6. Disable Recovery Mode (Temporary Fix)

• If recovery mode persists, try bypassing it temporarily by restarting VS Code:

  1. Close VS Code completely.
  2. Restart it and reconnect to your Codespace.
  3. Check if the issue persists.

7. Review Extensions

• Disable any non-essential extensions that might interfere with Codespaces. Some extensions could cause issues when loading in a containerized environment.
