[Question] Issue with using o1-mini model in GitHub Copilot

Problem using o1-mini(Preview) model in GitHub Copilot chat

I am currently trying to use the o1-mini(Preview) model in the GitHub Copilot chat, but I get the following error message:

"Sorry, the request failed. Please try again."

Also, when I try to use the OpenAI o1-mini model in the GitHub Models Playground, I get the following error message:

"Model {modelname} is only enabled for API version 2024-12-01-preview and later".

The o1-mini model worked fine until recently, but now it does not.

My school is signing up for a paid plan for GitHub Copilot.

Request for information

I would appreciate any information or advice on the following:

1. Are the OpenAI o1-mini and OpenAI o1-preview models still available?
2. If so, how do I configure them to work properly?

Steps to reproduce the problem

1. Open the GitHub models in the Marketplace.
2. Select the OpenAI o1-mini model and type a prompt in the playground.
3. The above error message will appear

Or

1. Open the GitHub Copilot chat on VSCode
2. Select the o1-mini(Preview) model and type in a prompt
3. You will get the above error message

Expected result

The o1-mini model should work correctly and provide answers to prompts.

Failing here too, probably an issue on their side.

Edit: I was able to get it going after a few retry.
