Hi everyone,Dear GitHub Education Team, I hope you're doing well. I am a student currently enrolled in the GitHub Education program, and I am working on a project that requires significantly more computational resources than the current free-tier GitHub Actions runners can provide. I have encountered performance limitations, particularly when building larger applications, running complex tests, or processing large datasets. This has slowed down my development process considerably, making it difficult to meet deadlines and complete my work as efficiently as I'd like. As a student, I rely on GitHub Actions to automate and streamline my workflows. However, the current resource limits are insufficient for more demanding tasks, which affects the overall quality of my project. Having access to larger runners with more resources would not only help me overcome these bottlenecks but also improve my overall experience as I work on a real-world application. There are several reasons why providing larger runners would be incredibly beneficial for students like me:
I believe that offering larger runners for students in the GitHub Education program would be a significant enhancement to the platform and would better support the growing demand for more computational power. Hi, @CZAsTc Try using github codespaces. You can use up to 32 cores, 64 GB RAM, and 128 GB storage computational power for testing and developing needs. |
