Is pkg-npm.githubusercontent.com a legitimate GitHub packages domain?

We use GitHub packages to host various private NPM packages on GitHub.

Since Monday we have noticed that our builds are trying to pull one of the packages from:
https://pkg-npm.githubusercontent.com/npmregistryv2prod/blobs/***

This is a domain that we have never seen before.

Is this a legitimate GitHub domain and expected behaviour?

This is the response from GitHub support.

We recently migrated to a new and improved version of the GitHub Packages npm registry. I can confirm the pkg-npm.githubusercontent.com domain is used by the new registry.
