Description
Documentation
The Python tutorial says, in section 4.2 about for statements, before an example about for,
For example (no pun intended):
This is an absolutely beautiful pun. Puns and humor might sound trivial, but they really contribute to the ease of adoption of a new technology, and this is a spectacular example of how it should be done.
The issue is that the "no pun intended" takes away from the fun of the pun because:
- it informs the reader of the pun, depriving them of the fun of discovering it themselves
- is confusing, since it's hard to believe that a pun of such magnitude would be unintended
And so I propose to either remove it, or at least replace it with "pun intended".
