Windows wallet sync slow

Multiple users reports slow syncing of blockchain on the first run. Sometimes takes days to sync.
Need to be looked at.

When downloading the blockchain using peers its currently advised to switch to connect= to a single peer. this will drastically increase the download speed of the chain.
