Bug compiling acme-iot-0.1.0.1 with etlas #983

I am trying to port a project of mine to the jvm via etlas, and it depends on the acme-iot package in hackage.
Expected Behavior
The package should compile normally.
Actual Behavior

- etlas version 1.6.0.0, compiled using version 2.1.0.0 of the etlas-cabal library
- Operating System and version: Ubunut 19.04
