ロバート・ウィリアム・フォーゲル（Robert William Fogel、1926年7月1日 - 2013年6月11日）は、アメリカ合衆国の経済学者。数量経済史（Cliometrics）と呼ばれる経済史の過去の出来事に、経済理論や数量分析を使って解析する手法で有名。

略歴

• 1926年 ニューヨーク市に生まれる
• 1944年 Stuyvesant High Schoolを卒業する
• 1948年 コーネル大学を卒業する（主「歴史」、従「経済学」）
• 1958年 コロンビア大学で修士号を取得
• 1958年 - 1959年 ジョンズ・ホプキンス大学でインストラクターとして教え始める
• 1960年 - 1965年 ロチェスター大学助教授
• 1964年 ジョンズ・ホプキンス大学博士号取得
• 1964年 - 1965年 シカゴ大学准教授
• 1965年 - 1975年 シカゴ大学教授
• 1968年 - 1975年 ロチェスター大学でも教える
