Clipped is both an executable binary that can be run, and a library that can be used in Rust programs.

Installing the command-line executable

Assuming you have Rust/Cargo installed, run this command in a terminal:

cargo install clipped

It will make the clipped command available in your PATH if you've allowed the PATH to be modified when installing Rust. cargo uninstall clipped uninstalls.

Adding `clipped` library as a dependency

Run this command in a terminal, in your project's directory:

cargo add clipped

To add it manually, edit your project's Cargo.toml file and add to the [dependencies] section:

clipped = "0.1.0"

The clipped library will be automatically available globally. Read the clipped library documentation.

Clipped is a workspace-aware, file-scoped cargo clippy wrapper that filters diagnostics.

📦 Installation

# Run on entire project (same as `cargo clippy`)
clipped

# Run on specific files

# Show only errors
clipped --level error src/main.rs

# Pass args to Clippy
clipped src/main.rs -- -- -W clippy::all

⚙️ Configuration

Configure via .clipped.toml:

level = "error"
clippy_args = ["-W", "clippy::pedantic"]

Or set environment variables:
