PyCon JP 2025のスプリント参加者およびスプリントリーダーを募集します！
今年のスプリントは9/28(日)、広島国際会議場にて開催いたします。

当日のタイムスケジュールは以下の通りです。

• 10:00 : 開場
• 10:15 : イベントの説明
• 17:30 (予定) : 成果報告
• 18:00 : 終了
• 18:30 : 参加者完全撤収

スプリントとは？

多くのオープンソースソフトウェアの開発は、通常、ウェブ上でオンラインのコミュニケーションを通じて行われています。
ほとんどの場合はこれで問題ないのですが、時には直接集まってオフラインで共同開発を行うことが、開発を大きく前に進めるために有効なことがあります。

この特定のプロジェクトに興味がある開発者同士がオフラインで集まって、短時間で素早く進捗を出す開発ミートアップを実現するために、スプリントやハッカソンと呼ばれる方法が生まれました（Pythonコミュニティ以外では、このようなミートアップはよくハッカソンと呼ばれています）。

そして、開発者が一同に集まるカンファレンスは、このスプリントを実現するのに最適な場であるため、カンファレンスの一部としてスプリントが開かれることがよくあります。

PyCon JP 2025では、スプリントを行うにあたって必要な環境（Wi-Fi, 電源、テーブル、椅子等）を用意いたします。
スプリント参加者の皆さんには、ご自分のPC、スキル、そして開発への情熱を会場に持ってきていただければと思います！

また、今回のスプリントではPythonコミュニティの活動も行うことができます。
オフラインでのコミュニティ活動に、今回の機会をぜひご利用ください！

スプリントリーダーとは？

スプリントリーダーは、スプリントで扱うプロジェクトを決めて、スプリントの中で開発の案内や相談への対応をする人のことです。

リーダーは、開発を進めるプロジェクトのメンテナである必要はありません。
リーダーは、自分が開発を進めたいと思う特定のプロジェクトを選んでいただき、スプリント内で達成したいゴールを設定いただくだけで構いません。
他のスプリント参加者が選んだプロジェクトに参加してみたい場合には、スプリントリーダーの皆さんには、まず参加者の皆さんへ選んだプロジェクトの紹介や開発の進め方の案内を行っていただき、開発中は適宜開発の手助けを行っていただければと思います。

このスプリントリーダーの仕組みは、完全に非公式なものなので、参加者の皆さんが実際に開発を行うプロジェクトはどのようなものでも構いません。

スプリントリーダーとして参加したいという場合は、connpassページからの申込時にスプリントリーダーとして登録をお願いいたします。
その際にアンケートに回答してスプリントで取り組みたいテーマをconnpassアンケートで提出してください。
フォームへの回答は日本語または英語でお願いします。
主催メンバーが内容を確認の上、スプリント参加者が閲覧できるように、応募されたテーマの一覧をこちらで公開します。

また、コミュニティ活動の応募の際には、コミュニティ代表者の方がリーダー登録をしていただき、connpassアンケートにコミュニティ名と取り組むことを記載してください。

PyCon JP 2025 Developer & Community Sprint

We're looking for people interested in attending and leading sprints at PyCon JP 2025.
The sprints will be held on Sunday, September 28th at the International Conference Center Hiroshima, the same venue as the conference.

The schedule for the day is as follows:

• 10:00 : Open the doors
• 10:15 : Explanation of the event
• 17:30 (planned) : Presentation of the results
• 18:00 : End
• 18:30 : Venue is closed

What is a sprint?

Most open source software development happens on the web and developers usually communicate only online when working on projects.
This usually works out fine, but the lack of in-person meetings can sometimes be a limiting factor in making good progress.

For this reason, a form of impromptu coding meetups called “sprints” or “hackathons” (outside the Python community, the term “hackathon” is more common) were initiated, where developers interested in a project can get together in person for a short period of time to make quick progress.
Since conferences provide the perfect place to meet, sprints are made part of the conference program.

PyCon JP 2025 will provide the space and infrastructure, such as Wi-Fi, power, tables, chairs; you bring your skills, humanity, brainpower and computer.

This sprint will also be a great opportunity for the Python community to get involved.
We hope you'll take advantage of this opportunity for some offline community activity!

What is a sprint leader?

A sprint leader is the person who is informally in charge of a specific project at the sprint.
They do not have to be the maintainer of the project.
As a sprint leader, you should pick a specific project you want to work on and having some specific goals you wish to achieve at the sprint can be helpful.
Others might want to join your sprint, so please help them get started in the project.

The sprint leader system is very informal, and you can work on any project you want, whether it has a leader or not.

If you want to be a sprint leader, please indicate so on the connpass event page.
And please submit your sprint topic via connpass questionnaire.
You may fill in the form in either English or Japanese.
After the organizing members review the content, we will publish a list of submitted themes here for sprint participants to view.

When applying for community activities, please have the community representative register as a leader and describe the name of the community and what you will work on in the questionnaire.
