Compared to most other monospaced fonts, Adapter Mono has a wide range of weights and an italic with cursive alternates. To make the italic even more distinct on screen and in small sizes, we slanted it at a steeper angle than in Adapter, its proportional antecedent.
To keep a simple setup for coders, all styles of the Adapter Mono family come with their optimized Adapter Code counterparts free of charge. Following heated debate between Rosetta’s resident developers, we avoided the so-called coding ligatures, but we have included a few subtle visual hacks for a better coding experience, regardless of your programming paradigm.
All pan-European (PE) fonts include expertly crafted support for Cyrillic, Greek, and Latin scripts, an abundance of combinable arrows, circled numerals, frame-building blocks, button-building magic*, symbols, and a handful of emoji. Thanks to the single variable file, it’s easy to tweak the weight, italic, and alternates without any reflow of content. You can also control thickness of the button border.
