Pyspread is a non-traditional spreadsheet application that is based on and written in the programming language Python. The goal of pyspread is to be the most pythonic spreadsheet. Pyspread expects Python expressions in its grid cells, which makes a spreadsheet specific language obsolete. Each cell returns a Python object that can be accessed from other cells. These objects can represent anything including lists or matrices. NovaGrid is a light spreadsheet made with Python / Tkinter, based on Tktable. The objective of this project is to have a light spreasheet python object which can be used into larger projects. The code is totaly written in Python (actualy 2.2.2).

The main purpose of "python2xlw" is to create an Excel-compatible file which can be sent to users via the web as an excel application. The motivation is mainly to support the display of XY Scatter plots and tabular numerical data(eg engineering data)
