Python-Patterns is a repository collecting implementations of many classical design patterns and idioms, written in Python. It serves as an educational resource: showing how to implement creational, structural, behavioral, testability, and other patterns in a Pythonic style (or sometimes less so), illustrating trade-offs, different styles, and use cases. It’s intended for learners or developers interested in software architecture or design, rather than as a production library. Includes pattern examples for testability, delegation, flyweight, proxy, etc., plus patterns outside the classical set (registry, specification, etc.) Each pattern has readable example code, often in its own module/file, sometimes showing more than one implementation style.

vipera is a designer of applications for the programming language Python. It has two main objectives: 1) The design of an application from an educative point of view, paying special attention to the documentation and design of classes. 2) The automatic generation of base code for software projects. vipera is a combination of basic tools for the design of applications in the early stages of development, allowing the creation of modules (libraries) and definition of their basic characteristics, such as classes, functions, records, constants and import modules. The design of classes is done graphically, by means of a code similar to UML. It includes an inverse engineering option, that is, from Python scripts, classes and relationships are identified and represented graphically.

This is project is a refactoring assistant kit. It intends to provide tools and script to help refactor C++ code, replacing our usual search'n'replace by providing some rough code analysis and IDE specific plug-ins for integration.

Roc's purpose is to serve as a tool for those who know little about programming. It strives to create RPGs similar to those on your video game console. Roc is written in Python and wxPython. It will support all platforms compatible with wxPython.

In the selective laser melting process (SLM), components are built up layer by layer by incremental melting of metal powder with a laser beam. This process leads to locally inhomogeneous material properties of the manufactured components. By integrating these specific material properties of the SLM-process into a topology optimization, product developers can be supported in the design process by simulation. For this purpose, a topology optimization method is being developed which takes into account the unique material properties of parts manufactured with the SLM-process. In this homepage, the generation of a material database as well as the development of the topology optimization method is introduced and the impact on the component design is presented. SLM-Topo is a joint research project of the Institute of Product Engineering (IPEK) and the Institute for Applied Materials (IAM) of the Karlsruhe Institute for Technology (KIT) funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG).

pycodestyle (formerly pep8) is a tool to check your Python code against some of the style conventions in PEP 8. This package used to be called pep8 but was renamed to pycodestyle to reduce confusion. Plugin architecture, adding new checks is easy. Parseable output, jump to error location in your editor. Just one Python file, requires only stdlib. You can use just the pycodestyle.py file for this purpose. Comes with a comprehensive test suite. There's also a package for Debian/Ubuntu, but it's not always the latest version. You can also make pycodestyle.py show the source code for each error, and even the relevant text from PEP 8. Or you can display how often each error was found.

Script-server is a Web UI for scripts. As an administrator, you add your existing scripts into Script server and other users would be able to execute them via a web interface. The UI is very straightforward and can be used by non-tech people. No script modifications are needed - you configure each script in Script server and it creates the corresponding UI with parameters and takes care of validation, execution, etc.

Simloc is the tool intended for finding similar chunks (blocks) of code. It could be used in reverse software engineering. It is faster than SimScan, find better blocks than PMD/CPD (not just exact blocks also similar) and could be runed at GRID.
