A Python port of the Apache Tika library that makes Tika available using the Tika REST Server. This makes Apache Tika available as a Python library, installable via Setuptools, Pip and easy to install. To use this library, you need to have Java 7+ installed on your system as tika-python starts up the Tika REST server in the background. To get this working in a disconnected environment, download a tika server file (both tika-server.jar and tika-server.jar.md5, which can be found here) and set the TIKA_SERVER_JAR environment variable to TIKA_SERVER_JAR="file:////tika-server.jar" which successfully tells python-tika to "download" this file and move it to /tmp/tika-server.jar and run as a background process. This is the only way to run python-tika without internet access. Without this set, the default is to check the tika version and pull latest every time from Apache. -

Face Mask Detection System built with OpenCV, Keras/TensorFlow using Deep Learning and Computer Vision concepts in order to detect face masks in static images as well as in real-time video streams. Amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, there are no efficient face mask detection applications which are now in high demand for transportation means, densely populated areas, residential districts, large-scale manufacturers and other enterprises to ensure safety. The absence of large datasets of ‘with_mask’ images has made this task cumbersome and challenging. Our face mask detector doesn't use any morphed masked images dataset and the model is accurate. Owing to the use of MobileNetV2 architecture, it is computationally efficient, thus making it easier to deploy the model to embedded systems (Raspberry Pi, Google Coral, etc.). -

OmicSelector is an environment, Docker-based web application, and R package for biomarker signature selection (feature selection) from high-throughput experiments and others. It was initially developed for miRNA-seq (small RNA, smRNA-seq; hence the name was miRNAselector), RNA-seq and qPCR, but can be applied for every problem where numeric features should be selected to counteract overfitting of the models. Using our tool, you can choose features, like miRNAs, with the most significant diagnostic potential (based on the results of miRNA-seq, for validation in qPCR experiments). -

TorchIO is an open-source Python library for efficient loading, preprocessing, augmentation and patch-based sampling of 3D medical images in deep learning, following the design of PyTorch. It includes multiple intensity and spatial transforms for data augmentation and preprocessing. These transforms include typical computer vision operations such as random affine transformations and also domain-specific ones such as simulation of intensity artifacts due to MRI magnetic field inhomogeneity (bias) or k-space motion artifacts. TorchIO is a Python package containing a set of tools to efficiently read, preprocess, sample, augment, and write 3D medical images in deep learning applications written in PyTorch, including intensity and spatial transforms for data augmentation and preprocessing.
