FreeImage is a library project for developers who would like to support popular graphics image formats (PNG, JPEG, TIFF, BMP and others). Some highlights are: extremely simple in use, not limited to the local PC (unique FreeImageIO) and Plugin driven!

A comprehensive software suite for reading barcodes. Supports EAN/UPC, Code 128, Code 39, Interleaved 2 of 5 and QR Code. Includes libraries and applications for decoding captured barcode images and using a video device (eg, webcam) as a barcode scanner.

Fandango, formerly and internally know as elcad. It is a python scripted 3d CAD application; the core is programmed on C++, and interface functions are exported to python to be used as building blocks for new commands.

BLIX is a cross-platform set of Python extension modules and Python scripts for Blender (www.blender.org). These scripts add camera calibration, 3D reconstruction and rigid body orientation to Blender.

DiaCanvas is a library for drawing diagrams. It is completely Model/View/Controller based and has a Visio (DIA) look. The package also contains a Python wrapper for the library.

A 3D data visualization tool, specializing in the display of robotically collected point, range, and volumetric data. Provides a very flexible framework for different file formats and visualization parameters.

Geomatrix, collection of C/C++ libraries to be used for symbolic description of n-dimensional geometric models. Operates internally with a representation that constructs complex objects based on primitives, allowing loss-less modifcation of models.

MVS - Math Visualization System (See description on homepage)

The OpenCMISS-Zinc Library (opencmiss.org/zinc), or Zinc, is a software library for building interactive graphical modelling and visualisation applications. Models are represented in Zinc as mathematical fields defined over domains, including finite elements with support for high-order basis functions, complex parameter mappings and time variation, and image-based fields. Further fields can be defined by mathematical expressions and algorithms on existing fields, including image processing filters. Zinc model data structures are dynamic, supporting interactive applications which programmatically create, destroy and modify parts of models.

PyGTS is a python package used to construct, manipulate, and perform computations on triangulated surfaces. It is a hand-crafted and pythonic binding for the GNU Triangulated Surface (GTS) Library. THIS PROJECT IS NOT BEING MAINTAINED.

PyPotrace is a Python programming language binding for Peter Selinger's Potrace raster to vector conversion algorithm. No separate Potrace library or application required!

PyTioga is for creating figures and plots with high quality text and graphics in PDF format. Text is processed directly by TeX (not an emulation), and the graphics covers a broad range of PDF features including images, curves, clipping, and transparency.

The Scientific Visualization Artist Tools (SVAT) include converters from the Visualization Toolkit (VTK) to RenderMan Interface Bytestream (RIB) (ASCII and binary files supported), Blender to RenderMan, compilable RenderMan shaders and other utilities.

Collection of utilities based on two basics classes: Matematica and VarData. Matematica) performs math operations on vectors and matrices for smoothing, interpolation, convolution, image processing... VarData) manipulate a structure of points connected by links. Addraw) openGL engine. ElPoly) analyze mechanical properties of polymer and membrane like structures. Addyn) perform molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo simulations and has a solver for 4th oder PDE. Avvis) perform all the operation of Matematica on different sets of data visualized on a Qt graphical interface. DrImage) image manipulation on the Matematica filters. The program is intended to use as less as possible external libs (optional: openGL, gsl, fftw, cgal, png, tiff, boost, MPI, Qt...).

pyFormex is a program for generating, transforming and manipulating large geometrical models of 3D structures by sequences of mathematical operations.
