base64 RFC1113 Vanilla ANSI-C Code for a portable stand-alone file encode/decode utility. In 2001, I asked people to 'Help me break it!' Since then, 10+years later, the code remains unbroken and is in wide production use world-wide. It has been ported to all major architectures and been used as a template for ports to different computer and human languages. This is very mature and stable code. Although this comes from a project that was constrained by export controls and is used in secure systems, it is not security code per-se. I have therefore altered the 'Export Controls' category.

JAM is a popular messagebase format for storing Fidonet messages originally devised by Joaquim Homrighausen, Andrew Milner, Mats Birch and Mats Wallin. JAMLIB is a subroutine library for manipulating such messagebases.

libpop3 is a very light POP3 library for C. It allows to list, fetch and remove messages from a POP3 mailbox. This library is using the RFC1939 as reference, and uses most basic POP3 commands to provide maximum compatibility across different servers. libpop3 is written in pure ANSI C89 without any external dependencies, thus it can be compiled and used on anything, anywhere. Since it is very light, it is designed to be used as a static library (but you could just as well incorporate its code right into your project).

JEDI is a J2EE application that provides a centralized service aiming at significantly simplify the generation of data driven documents in a enterprise environment. The documents (hereafter called "JEDI documents") can have different format types: pdf, excel, rtf, plain text data streams and xml streams. A JEDI document is an instance of the so called "managed document" (i.e. the configuration data and a particular set of rules), configured by a developer into the JEDI configuration database. The provision of a JEDI document is based on a synchronous processing performed by the JEDI core engine triggered by an end-user request (through HTTP request or RMI call). The content of a JEDI document (i.e. the input of the JEDI service), must be an XML stream regardless of the source. Such data is subsequently processed through one or more XSL transformations in order to provide the user with the document in the required format.
