dockserver-talk is a python package intended to interface with Teledyne WebbResearch
"Slocum" underwater gliders.
Together with this package comes a number of applications. One is BUGS, which stands fro
Buoys, Underwater Gliders and Ships. This program builds on top of dockserver-talk
and combines the GPS information of gliders from a dockserver with an external GPS source
(like on a ship) and displays this information as glider positions relative to the external
(ship's) position.
Besides querying a dockserver, an url-document containing GPS positions of buoys and ships can provide information on objects displayed in the graph.
