This issue is reproducible and persistent. the source of auction.c must be changed. Please be patient ...

It seems enough to remove all "runid2" references.

I applied the fix, and it's working for me as well. I won't know for a day and a half if my snipe succeeds or not, but at least the login issue has been resolved. Thx * 4 for the prompt fix Michael!

@grr did you do a "make clean" after you applied the fix?

My snipe was successful with the patch. Thanks again for the quick action on getting this invaluable tool working

      [$]> make clean
      test -z "esniper" || rm -f esniper
      rm -f *.o

      yes sir!

If you are getting the error message "getVals cannot find runId2", you are definitely using the wrong version of auction.c or missed to rebuild esniper.

    hum ok i retry...

Line number 544 shows that you did not use the latest revision from CVS. This line number is valid for auction.c revision 1.136, committed Sun Oct 30 21:07:53 2016 UTC.

    Did you run

    make install

? Otherwise the new esniper binary only exists in the source directory.

    • GRR

      GRR - 2017-03-13

      yep:

      ./configure
      make
      sudo make install
      replace auction.c
      make clean

i retry with the sourcecode. :)
      ty for your help!

      edit: but wait,
Looking for the latest version? Download esniper-2-32-0.tgz (133.1 kB) is the source isnt it?

2 hours ago the fix was in CVS only. 2.32.0 was created in 2016.
Now there is a fresh version 2.33.0 that should include the latest changes.
