I use Fedora 13 64 bits. I installed SIVP from sources and I had some problems. with library. SIVP need libcxcore.so.1, libcv.so.1, libhighgui.so.1, libcvaux.so.1, libml.so.1, but I haven't those files. I tryed to install some others pakages to fix it. But that didn't work. I saw I had libcxcore.so, libcv.so, libhighgui.so, libcvaux.so, libml.so in /usr/lib and in /usr/lib64. So I copied those files to have good files for SIVP. Now, it works !
May I had to configure SIVP with ./configure but I didn't see it.
