Due to strains on my time, and having lost much of my interest in this project, consider it's development ceased. I will still provide support to anyone who requests it (in good time), and I am happy to work with anyone who would like to take up development.
Okay, I've just finished uni exams, so I have some time over the winter break. I hope to get some much needed development work done, mainly in rewriting the client for Gtk. I've already seperated them out and built a basic glade interface. It should work under Mono or .NET. No CVS yet.
To allow more multi-platform capability, I am in the process of porting the GUI to Gtk#. As a consequence, Warr will be split into two parts: WarrLib, written in VB and the GUI (Warr-GUI) which will be written in C# and using glade/gtk bindings.
Progress is currently slow while I settle into university and a new course. The focus at the moment is on moving away from pure Microsoft.NET dependcy to something compatible with Mono. This basically means scrapping the IE control and Access database, the latter of which I currently (trying) to work on. Please stay tuned, feedback and patches are always welcome.
First release version (albeit unstable) of Warr.NET. Please download and checkout (comments/bugs to quineska@gamebox.net). It will require Visual Studio .NET to compile easily (should just compile with SDK, but I'm not sure).
We are now working on porting warr from VB6 to .NET. Most of the database code is done, but the interface needs to be written. To have a look, checkout module "warr-2" from CVS (see the CVS page for instructions on a public checkout). As a result, work on the old versions will cease (except for bugfixes/feature requests). Okay, we have the first release of this project . A prerelease, just to get the ball rolling. Is already very very functional and useful. Can read RSS at a basic level. Please download and test, as several features are implemented. Make sure you grab a copy of the database (needed for execution
