Typically all modern Linux desktop distributions need some customisation.
Small utility scripts written in Perl and Bash can provide much-needed glue to connect different systems and programs.
This project is intended to serve that purpose by forming a resource of utilities in these languages to easily integrate with Linux generically regardless of distribution.
