PDF Architect

Pros: With Acrobat I always felt like I was fighting with it for control of how I use it, finding what I want. Acrobat tries to steer me all the time to what it thinks I want to do, and then pay more for some extra thing I want to do. With PDF Architect everything is exactly where I would expect it to be on the screen, but most importantly I feel I am in total control of which tools I use and how I use them. It is so well designed! I especially love the easy to use mark up tools, completely flexible and intuitive.

Additionally I had a need for help with renewing to a different level, and I got very prompt and totally customer centered help. Support has been great.

Cons: Sorry, can't think of any. There have been occasional small bugs but they seem to be taken care of pretty quickly as they disappear in the next version.

Overall: I love doing PDF work now as I never fell like I am fighting with the program. It does everything I want and I feel like I'm in total control of how I use the program. When I have needed support it has been prompt and efficient.

Pros: Prior to using this program I had used others on the market, I find this program is good and user friendly also the support is very good.

Cons: Nothing negative to add. I find this program has a lot to offer if your are an extensive user.

Overall: Will recommend program to others. I find the support system in place works very well to serve the user's needs.

Pros: In general the program works fine and it is a user friendly program. It has extensive options. You can extend it with modules such as secure and sign, which now also has new features.

Cons: Every year some functionalities suddenly become unavailable. Then we need to contact support to resolve the issue. This happens too often and not at the time of a contract extension.

Overall: We use this program daily and overall it works fine. It would be nice if the program would function well all the time.

Pros: I use PDF Architect to add fields to my pdf's, so people can fill them in and send them back. And I can let people add there signature.

Cons: I'm hoping for an upgrade that the program would detect a table and changes it into a form automatically in 1 action. Now I have to add each field by myself and that takes quite some time.

Overall: I'm happy with PDF Architect. It's easy to use. It has all the functionalities I need and more. Recently, I had a question and the support was super fast, effective and friendly.

Pros: I like to work with program, the functions it has. It's easy to use and it works what I need.

Cons: Well, the changes in licesing models always bring us - the users problems
Everytime it happened.
The support was impossible to find on the website.
If I hadn't have previous e-mails i'd be stuck.

Overall: Fine software, but as we are hearing, the price will go up, we might stop using it, since we are using it rarely.

Pros: I use the full suite, with OCR and everything. Have been using this product for years. I have been using this product for 10 years.

Cons: Nothing. I have had a wonderful experience with this product.

Overall: I have used this product extensively for about 10 years. It does a wonderful job with OCR and other features.

Pros: Easy to work with and plenty of features to work with for any type of job you need to do. The support you get is one of the better places, very good!

Cons: The only thing I wish is the buttons for upgrade would disappear when you have it already on your account.

Overall: PDF Architect is one of the easier PDF programs to operate, and it works smoothly. I prefer it over the others that are out there. I like the way the program is set up. You can't beat the support you get.

Pros: You can exchange by chat or phone. You almost immediately have someone on the line. A good bargain.

Cons: It's not always easy to describe your problem and I don't know why it didn't work.

Overall: My problem has been solved so everything is fine. Compared to other solutions, we have the same services for less money

Pros: Easy to manage, all the necessary features I need for my job (I am an attorney at law). Support always solves in time the tasks I had. My version is a permanent license, and I am happy with it!

Cons: There is nothing to comment. I am satisfied with the product!

Overall: I am using PDF Architect for the last 6 years. And I had to ask for help only in two or three occasions. In all of them the Support Team helped me not even to think about switch this excellent program!

Pros: Working with a music notation software I can print my work directly in pdf with PDF Architect, and also for me, since it is orchestral scores, I can join all the individual instruments and print them with a single pdf file. I can preview the movements of the score, etc. Really great

Cons: I don't know, maybe because I was used to PDF Architect 4 and it was all simple and fast, now I still have to try it out thoroughly to give a correct evaluation, but at first glance I think it's perfect

Overall: Very good. Compared to other similar programs PDF Architect is the best. For a short time I also used Adobe acrobat paid, but there is no comparison with PDF Architect which is No.1

Pros: I like the ease of merging documents and the overall maneuverability in the module. It's easy to use and meets all my needs.

I have caused some self induced installation issues and have been impressed with the response and knowledge of the support staff to correct my errors.

Cons: No major issues. The software performs flawlessly and meets all my needs.

Overall: I have used PDF Architect for more years than I can remember. It has been my go to program for creating and opening pdf documents. I highly recommend it.

Pros: For me, the program has worked 'out of the box' as it describes. I use predominantly word processing programs and specialised music programs. I'm printing music PDFs on a daily basis for all sorts of music ensembles from professional symphony orchestras down to beginner level bands and orchestras in schools. PDF Architect allows me to print off, combine, Copyright en masse and finally email to the various music librarians. I can watermark, adjust pages, remove/replace pages and annotate individual pages or as I said, en masse and with ease. I will say the price has been very attractive for what the program provides and for me, the 'Help' aspect from PDF Architect HQ has always been timely and helpful.

Cons: Some aspects of the program were a little difficult for me to get my head around, initially (page replacement, removal/adjustment [moving pages 50-55 up to position 89-94 for example]). With subsequent improvements and upgrades to the program, these have become a lot easier...again, the Help assistance was appreciated.

Overall: I don't use many of the features of PDF Architect in my music but have used a number with word processing. Many of these features have saved me much time and effort.

Pros: Many of the editing functions and typing new items are easy and straightforward. All MS Windows fonts are available and can be adjusted with regards to each letter font space and also adjusting paragraph heights, just to mention a few.

Cons: File conversion to excel and word are not refined enough. Many times a clear picture in pdf showing data table remains as a picture in excel and word. I have to resort to some free online pdf convertors to be able to do this. The OCR reader is optional - I would like to see it incorporated.

Overall: Excellent PDF document software and easy to use. Anything (text) in the printed excel files in pdf format can be easily edited with PDF Architect Pro software, so there is no need to reprint the file in pdf again.

Pros: It is an easy to use PDF editor. Moreover compared to the Adobe product , one subscription gives the use of the whole program. Additionally I use PDF Creator Free from the same company to my entire satisfaction.

Cons: The color red is too bright! Differences between version (7,8 and 9) make it difficult sometimes to retrieve some functions (pre registered stamps for example). It sometimes skips from the subscribed version to a non subscribed version (free version)

Overall: Nice to use! I incorporated it to my billing and managing application (medical purpose). Especially PDF Creator allows me to create pdf's to send them easily to the patients

Pros: The app is all embracing and works well and have been using 2 versions for many years and I find them both quick and easy. I would like a proper conversation to an editable word document.

Cons: Nothing all works well with the various attributes however a proper conversation from PDF to a word document would be good.

Overall: Used for years now and works well although it does not appear to be able to fully convert a PDF to an editable word document.

Pros: PDF Architect 9 Pro has all the editing, security and conversion features I need on a daily basis. I tried the Standard version for the past 6 months, down from using the Pro version from 2022 til May this year. Standard worked great however my work scope expanded unexpectedly and I needed the other features available only in Pro. It's damned reliable, accessible and easy to get my work done. Simple as friggin that.

Cons: I tried to upgrade to Pro from my desktop app in the account management section but it went to a webpage no longer exits kinda thing. Not sure why that couldn't be fixed in a software update to the desktop app.

The Standard version was sometimes slow, and me too impatient surely, when stitching PDF documents together to form a single document. Not terrible, just slow. Probably heavy processing involved, but it would seem to freeze for a while and I wasn't sure the changes were made.

Overall: 99.52% satisfied. Not going back to the Standard version if I want to be as productive as I need to be. Oh, whether it's AI bot or a real person, the Chat made the process of upgrading to Pro easy and painless. It/she (Mary) let me have a discount based on the fact I already had purchased the Standard version about 6 months prior. Nice. Definitely sticking with Pro till I retire in 3 years.

Pros: Almost flawless in the program design. The merging of files from various types of file extensions helped me to easily compile a report.
The insertion of the watermark is effortless and nice.

Cons: I can't think of any at the moment.
Whatever I need and expected in the software, it can do.

Overall: User-friendly and easy to use. Never fail my expectations in terms of the features of the software.

Pros: Program works well and is easy to use. It does all that I need to deal with PDF's in a clear and efficient way.

Cons: Need to register even for free version. Pricing is per year and not forever which is a downside to buying the premium versions.

Overall: A good experience with PDF Architect. The program generally does what I require. I have used this in the past and will continue to do so.

Pros: That my comments about not wanting to renew contract were acted on immediately and much appreciated!

Cons: The renewal of the contract happened automatically and was charged against my credit card. I would have liked more notice so I could advise that I no longer needed the PDF service

Overall: Positive. I think the product is very good and I enjoyed using it for reports. I am not sure it was needed to record payments, donations and receipts.
