    I've been able to get VMG to startup minimized in the system tray on login by changing a non-obvious configuration parameter in $HOME/.magnifier.ini ... ShowWhenExecuted=0 Unchecking the "Auto-Show when executed" checkbox in the Configurations Dialog menu selection should do the same thing. Clicking on the tray icon and the first menu selection, "Show Magnifying Glass..." works normally to open the magnifier.
