Hi. I use VMG 3.71 with Ubuntu-based Linux. When I click on the box on the taskbar to invoke VMG, a menu drops down with many options. The first is "Show Magnifying Glass." Up comes the frame of the magnifying glass. But the menu doesn't go away. It lies atop some of the text I'm trying to read. Is there some way to fix this? I love VMG, and previous versions didn't act this way. Thanks.

I use synaptic to install, remove and update software. Best solution for me. I can run synaptic from terminal, but when I add it to my favorites, clicking on it does nothing. Is there some way to make this work? Thanks.
