To celebrate 20 years of soulful Daptone glory, this 2014 soul revue from the Apollo was the next best thing to a more current show, but sadly, as you might know, due to the quite untimely passings of Sharon Jones and Charles Bradley, we would have to make do without these two great artists whose - too late - careers have been tightly linked to Daptone Records. However, it's great that these label house bands, Menahan Street Band and The Budos Band are featured here as well. Essential stuff!
