Man arrestedfor child porn detained under Goondas Act

Chennai: Venga Raghunath Reddy, 22, of Telangana, who was arrested for circulating child pornographic content online, has been detained under the Goondas Act.

The cybercrime wing police arrested him on Dec 9, based on a complaint from a Chennai resident. More than 1,000 short video clips and images of pornographic content involving children aged from 2 to 18 years were found stored on his mobile phone.

Based on the recommendation of the cybercrime wing police, the police commissioner ordered the detention of Venga Raghunath Reddy under the Goondas Act.
